Measurement Standards

It is highly recommend that whenever possible you get a qualified seamstress to measure your dress size. You'd better get someone else to measure for you because of the inaccuracy of self-measuring. Measure with undergarments is similar to those you will wear with your dress; please keep in mind do not measure over other clothing. According to the different dress style,approx.8cm-13cm (3.15inch-5.12inch) additional length will be reserved for making a good fit dress for you.

Measurement Guide
Bust

* This is not your bra size!
* Wear a bra
* Relax arms at sides
* Pull tape across the fullest part of the bust

Waist

* Find the natural waist
* This is the smallest part of the waist
* Usually about 1 in. above belly button
* Keep tape slightly loose to allow for breathing room

Hips

* Find the widest part of the hips
* Usually about 7 in. below natural waist
* Tape should brush across both hipbones

Hollow to Floor(Bare Foot)

* Stand straight with feet together
* Measure in bare feet
* Begin at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to the floor
* To fit high heels, we will add an extra 5 cm onto custom-sized floor-length dresses and dresses with trains

Shoulder

Shoulder - From the edge of the shoulder socket, measure across the back to the same point on the other shoulder.

Height

* Stand straight with feet together
* Measure in bare feet
* Begin at the top of the head and pull tape straight down to the floor

I have tried on dresses of this similar style in the past few weeks in a size 0 and 2. My measurements fall under a size 6 and 8 on this website. Do the measurements run true to size? I can't imagine how I could need to wear a size 8 because I have never worn a size 8 before.

I'm 5'8" and I'm so fearful that the dress is going to fall just short of I am, and I don't want to pay the $30 if it's unnecessary. How long is the dress? I plan on wearing heals and I don't want them showing either. What do you suggest? And, I plan on getting the dress in burgundy, are the jewels around it still going to be silver, or will they be gold?
